Change: The Internet is a beast to tackle. After 88 weekly publications my current website has not been successful enough to make it worth the effort. I’m told that social networking is the quickest way to grab peoples attention, and so off to new designs and tactics. Spirepress.com will have a new look when complete, and traffic will be driven with three blogs, one on photography, one on fiction, and one on umPODS. Spirepress.com will also be accessible through MichaelAtman.com. Updating material is a chore, and with three blogs I will be writing three weekly articles instead of one. My photography blog will include tips for using Photoshop with a primary focus on compositing. My fiction blog will of course discuss my fiction, but will also talk about the book industry in general and the shift to ebooks. Building umPODS will focus on the steps to gain autonomy in todays unstable environment.
Although the look of the sites will be similar, and the functionality of the sites will be similar, each will be unique in content. I will be adding video, which will be available on YouTube and will add a new dimension to my content.
Because my topics generally explore the future, my theme is outer space which I hope won’t be misleading. I’m not trying to promote NASA although I certainly promote mans’ quest for knowledge.
