Sustainable umPODS: Luxurious living is a dream for more people than a reality, but for those who obtain that dream, luxury has a broad spectrum of amenities. Estates often have multiple buildings and include such things as riding stables or tennis courts, and most always have a swimming pool or two. Often properties are surrounded with substantial walls or fences and elaborate security systems are in place to ward off or warn of intruders. Certainly the list of amenities might include home theaters, gourmet kitchens, gyms with complete exercise features, spas with saunas and hot tubs, entertainment rooms for pool or billiards, dancing and games, wine cellars, wet bars, libraries and reading rooms, and of course indoor and outdoor fireplaces or fire-pits. Some may even include putting greens and full swing golf simulators and bowling allies.
Dream homes of course reflect the lifestyles of owners and their many hobbies and interests. They vary in design from ultra modern to the opulent and sometimes ostentatious adaptations of structures from other times and other cultures. Being extravagant or showy and standing apart is quite often the goal for owners. Few seek true independence.
